As Solano County enjoys an incredible new flow of water in local creeks after the recent Napa earthquake, experts are speculating what might be the source of this “bonus from nature” LINK . Officials report that at least 200,000 gallons of water per day are flowing from Wild Horse Creek, with many other areas reporting similar phenomena. Water quality tests performed by local public works officials confirm that the new water is pure enough to drink. This new water is being added to municipal drinking water supplies…a great blessing to local residents.
Although federal government geologists report that the new flow of water is likely “shallow groundwater” suddenly released from opening of fractures, other theories exist that offer great hope for a thirsty world.
During a recent interview, Pal Pauer, a respected American hydrologist, stated that this post-earthquake release is an excellent example of “primary water”, which comes not from rain-fed, shallow aquifers, but rather from very deep sources, far below typical aquifer levels. Primary water sources are independent of rainfall, and appear to be virtually unlimited. Although the science of primary water is not widely known, there is much evidence to support its existence.
In fact, a recent study reported in the SCIENTIFIC AMERICAN documented the presence of vast quantities of water locked far beneath the earth’s surface. That study confirmed “that there is a very, very large amount of water that’s trapped in a really distinct layer in the deep Earth…[ ]approaching the sort of mass of water that’s present in all the world’s ocean”: LINK
Although primary water originates from geological processes deep within the earth, Pauer said it can be tapped (and has been tapped) for use at or near the surface of the earth. This is because primary water naturally pushes up through fracture zones in the earth’s crust, as illustrated in the diagram above. High pressures in the earth’s mantle make this upward movement of primary water possible and inevitable.  It is not necessary to drill hundreds of miles deep in order to [ ]access this abundant [and valuable] resource. In some cases, primary water can be found at the surface of the earth, as demonstrated by many natural springs. Primary water can also be accessed by drilling near the surface (less than 200 feet). In other cases, earthquakes, such as the recent one in Napa, can remove blockages and open channels for primary water. This can facilitate sudden release of this great gift from below.
Pauer points out that there are other indications that the new-found water in Solano County is, indeed, primary water. For example, there were no major reports of sinkholes or subsidence associated with the release. If this massive volume of water had been released from a shallow aquifer an equivalent volume of water would have had to replace the volume withdrawn so rapidly (over 1,000 gallons/minute, which is over 10 times the pre-quake flow). Otherwise, massive sinkholes/subsidence would have appeared. The lack of sinkholes or subsidence indicates that the source of these new waters must not be shallow aquifers, but must be primary in origin, from much deeper, prolific sources. These primary water sources, in fact, were so prolific, they were able to sustain surface stability even as massive volumes of water were released. In situations such as this, as depleted aquifers are replenished by primary water, variations in flow may be expected until equilibrium is reached.
After many decades of successful primary water studies and drilling projects, Pauer has proven that we can ACCESS this abundant source and supplement our current water supply. Primary water may be tapped directly, or may be found commingled with secondary water (e.g. aquifers) fed from atmospheric sources above. As more people become aware of this little-known science, perhaps the Napa earthquake will be remembered for helping us look “down” instead of “up” for solutions to our current, epic drought crisis.Copyright 2014 Primary Water Institute

The Primary Water InstituteThe Primary Water Institute – Who We are
The Primary Water Institute is dedicated to teaching what is known about the volcanic origin of water from deep beneath the crust of our living world.   This new water arrives at the surface through cracks, and fissures in rock strata, due to tectonic forces far below, adding to the hydrologic cycle at the surface, and in ocean basins. Fissures in the ocean floor, and cracks cause hydrothermal vents that release super heated water, rich with mineral content, to mix with seawater.
Geysers, the result of volcanic action beneath the surface,  under pressure, spray primary water into the air, and bubble to the surface.  Hotsprings, often found in mountainous areas, spring forth from cracks, and fissures, fractures, caused by intense pressure built up by steam and water within the rock strata.

“The water cycle describes the existence and movement of water on, in, and above the Earth.  Where does all the Earth’s water come from?  Primordial Earth was an incandescent globe made from magma, but all magmas contain water.  Water set free by magma began to cool down the Earth’s atmosphere, until it could stay on the surface as a liquid.  Volcanic activity kept and still keeps introducing water in the atmosphere, thus increasing the surface-and-ground water volume of the Earth.”http://ga.water.usgs.gov/edu/watercyclehi.htm

Global Resource Alliance
This organization, working with the hungarian ‘water wizard’ Pal Pauer, has drilled over 80 boreholes to primary water at various depths, in Tanzania, installing handpumps that enable villagers to have easy access to clean water that is free of disease causing microbes, parasites, and surface contaminants.  Before these wells delivered primary water to their villages women, and girls, were forced to walk miles in search of water that was too often unfit to drink, carrying containers of water on their heads.  Sometimes women or girls were seized, and killed by crocodiles at the river banks as they filled containers with water, or they were attacked by rebels or bandits.  Now there is safety and clean water for these villagers, thanks to the work of the GRA.

“Since antiquity, the source of water generated deep within the Earth, clearly defying the conventional scientific hydrologic cycle explanation, has been a mystery. How does one explain sources of water throughout the world that produce impressive quantities of fresh water, often in dry areas with little rainfall or at high altitudes?  Besides numerous oases in Sahara, Arabic Peninsula, Middle East and the driest deserts elsewhere, and countless springs at mountain tops worldwide, there are clear examples of this phenomenon which stand out, like the Ain Figeh spring near Damascus, the Montezuma Well in the Sonora Desert in Arizona or the Zamzam well in Mecca.”
“It seems that ancient civilizations had a profound understanding of this phenomenon, and morever a method of accurate locating of invisible underground water veins and streams.  Without heavy drilling and excavating equipment, they have built impressive water supply systems all around the world.  More than 5,000 years ago, ancient Persians developed the system of Qanats, which eventually spread around the region, and up to North Africa.”
“The water wells of Gibeon and Beersheba, and huge cisterns of Masada in what is now Israel, are a total puzzle to modern hydrologists.”

“We hear that the wars of the 21st century will be fought over water – rather than oil as in the last.  Nothing holds more potential to abolish these wars — and ameliorate the shocking condition of nearly one billion people on earth without access to clean, safe water — than the science of Primary Water.”  — Pal Pauer

“Juvenile Water — original water, formed as a result of magmatic processes.  Juvenile water has never been in the atmosphere. Magmatic water can form in very large quantities.  A magma body with a density of 2.5, an assumed water content of 5% by weight, a thickness of 1 kilometer, and an area of 10 square kilometers contains some 1.25 x 10 to the 9th power cubic meters of water.”

—- Tokyo Institute of Technology, Tohuku University — Associate Professor Motohiko Murakami, was awarded the 2013 James B. Macelwane Medal at the Fall Meeting of the American Geophysical Union for his outstanding research on the inner structure of the Earth. Professor Murakami headed the team that made their calculations on the volume of water within the mantle, based on their lab studies of the structure of the Earth. Secondary ion mass spectrometry measurements show that Earth’s representative lower mantle minerals synthesized in a natural peridotitic composition can dissolve considerable amounts of hydrogen.  Both MgSiO3 – rich perovskite and magnesiowustite contain about 0.2 weight percent H2O, and CaSiO3 – rich perovskite contains about 0.4 weight percent H2O.  The OH absorption bands in Mg – perovskite and magne-siowustite were also confirmed with the use of infrared micospectrosco-pic measurements.  Earth’s lower mantle may store about five times more H2O than the oceans.” — Water in Earth’s lower mantle — Articleby Motohiko Murakami, Kei Hirose, Hisayoshi Yumimoto, Satoru Naka-shima, and Naoto Takafuji —

“Water is constantly traded back and forth between the ocean and the rocky mantle because of plate tectonics,” the researchers said.
“Super Earths are expected to have deep oceans that will overflow their basins and inundate the entire surface, but we show this logic to be flawed,” said Nicolas Cowan, at Northwestern University in Illinois. “Terrestrial planets have significant amounts of water in their interior.  Super Earths are likely to have shallow oceans to go along with their shallow ocean basins.  Scientists suggest that tectonically active Super Earths store most of their water in the mantle – the rocky part that makes up most of the volume and mass of the planet.”

“The Fertile Crescent, which stretches from Israel to the Persian Gulf and includes the Tigris and Euphrates rivers in Iraq, is supplied at its easternmost point by a cave in an iron-red limestone cliff.  This flow becomes the Jordan River.  At its westernmost point are springs. One flows from the foot of a buttress on Mt. Hermon and another pours from the cliffs in waterfalls.  A spring in Oregon flows at 690 million gallons a day, a spring in Missouri flows at 800 million gallons a day, and a series of springs along the Snake River in Idaho flow at 3.5 billion gallons a day.”

“In France, Professor C. Louis Kervran wrote an essay in 1977 on the origin of water in crystalline rock. He knew that most of the wells in his native Brittany were found by dowsers and dug into solid granite.  In his career he knew of so many cases where tunneling into rock created floods that wiped out the construction sites that he didn’t bother to collect data on them.  During a drought in 1976 the French Geological and Mining Bureau loaned drilling equipment to find water in the region.  Successful wells were drilled into crystalline and metamorphic terrain.”

“In the 1950’s, flooding impeded construction of the Tecolote Tunnel through the Santa Ynez Mountains.  By its composition and the depth at which it was encountered, the thirteen million gallons a day was not rainwater.  Some of the water was hot, as much as 117 degrees Fahrenheit, and mineralized, some was cool and exceedingly pure.  The flows were stopped so construction of the six-mile long tunnel to connect Santa Barbara to the Cachuma Reservoir could continue.”

“In the nineteeth century, Adolf Erik Nordenskiold, a professor of mineralogy, began to study primary water.  He was inspired by his father, the Chief of Mining in Finland, who told him that iron mines along the Finnish coast were never penetrated by sea water, but always had fresh water present.  During the last part of the century, Nordenskiold was finding water by drilling into promontories and rocky islands off the Swedish coast.  He concluded that water was formed deep within the Earth and could be contacted in hard rock.  He wrote a paper called, “About Drilling for Water in Primary Rocks” which earned him a Nobel prize nomination.”  —-  Note:  the quotes given are from “A Primer on Primary Water” by Dave Palmer

“Hypothesis of Leaching by Hot Springs of Magmatic Origin ——- When lava cools at the surface, great quantities of the expelled waters pass off as clouds of steam.  As the crust slowly hardens, and the congealing magma becomes further away from the surface, the escaping waters will become cooler in their passage upward.  A stage will finally be reached when they will not entirely be vaporous on emerging at the surface, but will become liquid.  They will, in fact, emerge as hot springs, and it is probable that the change from steam jets (fumaroles) to hot springs is the normal process of cooling volcanoes.

The water which is given off at the contact of an intrusive mass of igneous rock, and which is frequently so active in producing rock changes or metamorphism, must also exist after it has accomplished these changes.  We may suppose that if there are any channels, such as are afforded by fissures or faults, this water may find its way upward, and perhaps even reach the surface.  Springs having this origin may be called (following Professor Suess of Vienna) juvenile springs, the term referring to the recent birth of the water from the magma.

The recognition of the above for many hot springs led many geologists to assume that it was these juvenile hot waters (not heated atmospheric waters) which had been powerful in searching the solidified igneous rocks (and the intruded rocks as well) and dissolving out the metals.  On examination, the rocks on the margins of instrusions in many cases show profound alteration, such as would be the work of expelled magmatic waters.”

Welcome to our Primary Water Institute where we hope to educate you on the nature of water’s origin within our world, where it comes from, and what we need to do to end drought and thirst for all people and nations.

It is our goal to support the Hungarian ‘Water Wizard’, Pal Pauer, who is eager to work with us to pass along his knowledge, and experience, gained over forty years of finding and accessing primary water in many parts of the world.  Pal is a truly heroic man, dedicated to end thirst through the ‘Science of Primary Water’.  His mentor, Stephan Riess, spent decades himself in quest of primary water, and is an early pioneer in the field, as described in the book,”New Water for a Thirsty World” by Michael Salzman. In 1958, Israel’s Prime Minister David Ben-Gurion asked Stephan to find primary water to supply a new city, and port on the Red Sea, under construction.   In May 29,1959, the Jerusalem Post announced that the Riess-located wells were sufficient to supply a city of more than 100,000 people, enough to supply the city of Eilat, and outlying villages. — Link

“One cubic kilometer of granite, under the right conditions, will yield one billion gallons of primary water.” — Stephan Riess

“Primary water wells are not a new phenomenon.  Stephan Riess was drilling wells all over California and in the Middle East as far back as the early 1930s.  Pal has traveled to Africa numerous times, and earlier this year, drilled six wells in Kenya and Tanzania, producing over 3,000 gallons per minute in an arid land with less than 10 inches of rainfall per year.”

“According to Pal, “It’s hard to get the point across to many people in the U.S. that the earth makes water.  We can access it and solve our problems. We don’t need massive storage facilities or aqueducts.  Clean, virtually infinite sources of water might be right under our feet.” — Page 80, download pdf

“Think about it.  Weather records usually are broken by only small percentage points.  Not this time.  Many old records fell by more than 40%.  In the case of downtown Oakland, it was 58% — the 1976 record being 10.02 inches of rainfall and the 2013 total being 4.24 inches.” — Link

“Magmatic water or juvenile water is water that exists within, or in equilibrium with, a magma or water-rich volatile fluids that are derived from a magma.  This magmatic water is released to the atmosphere during a volcanic eruption. Magmatic water may also be released as hydrothermal fluids during the late stages of magmatic crystallization or solidification within the Earth’s crust.   Ultimate sources of this magmatic water includes water and hydrous minerals in rocks melted during subduction as well as primordial water brought up from the deep mantle.” — http://www.freebase.com/m/06zkg06The Need“Drought is now possible to be defeated with thousands of primary water wells, distributed across many regions,
in many nations, where it is needed to end thirst.”

– Greg O’Neill

Thanks to the arrival of the Science of Primary Water it is now possible to literally ‘green’ deserts, reversing desertification, turning these arid areas into lush, food producing regions, fit for new eco-cities to be established, in harmony with the living land that provides an abundance of primary, earth generated water, from the very mantle of our world.

We invite you to join our adventure, and global efforts to end thirst for all people, and nations.

The Primary Water Institute is a work in progress, and is in need of support, in our quest to become established as a place where interns, from many nations, can come to learn how to use new technologies to detect primary water beneath the surface, at depth, and how to use the drilling equipment to reach it, and to set up pumps to bring the water to the surface for storage, and use.

We know that many nations, including our own, are threatened with water shortages in food growing regions, in urban as well as rural areas.   Drought is now possible to be defeated with thousands of primary water wells, distributed across many regions, in many nations, where it is needed to end thirst.

“Research undertaken by Stephan Riess in 1934 showed enormous quantities of virgin water could be obtained from crystalline rocks.  This involved a combination of geothermal heat and a process known as triboluminescence, a glow which electrons in the rocks discharge as a result of friction or violent pressure, that can actually release oxygen and hydrogen gases in certain ore-bearing rocks.  This process, called cold oxidation, can form virgin or primary water.  Riess was able to tap straight into formations of hard desert rock of the right composition and produce as much as 8,000 liters per minute.” —

“I have a record of 915 springs and they go over 10,000 to 200,000, and a larger proportion of them, some of them go into the millions of gallons daily. And usually springs are at the high point of the mountain range. Not in the canyons.”           — Stephan Riess (1985)
